Brad Hompe starting out as a corrections officer, soon becoming a Sergeant, then a Lieutenant and a Captain, before he became a unit manager and deputy warden, all on his way to becoming warden.
Nowadays, Brad Hompe serves the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WI-DOC) as a Corrections Complaint Examiner and Investigator. And he got to that point based on his high level of experience and his expertise in every aspect of the corrections industry. This professional currently works with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WI-DOC) as a Corrections Complaints Examiner/Investigator. However, long before this role, he began at the bottom of the totem pole. His work has allowed him to move up gradually to one of the leading experts in Wisconsin whose wisdom is often sought for training events and speaking engagements. He also has provided consultation nationally at other jail and prison systems.

His WI-DOC positions have been within compliance as a Detention Facilities Specialist, also known as a Jail Inspector; within executive leadership as a Warden and Deputy Warden; and within management in roles such as Unit Manager, Captain, Lieutenant, Corrections Officer and Sergeant. His positions took on additional responsibilities and also reflected more rank within the department in his 20+ years within corrections.
