The Brad Hompe Experience

He is currently a Corrections Complaint Examiner and Investigator for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WI-DOC), but Brad Hompe wasn’t just placed into that position. He has an enormous amount of experience when it comes to the operation of jails and prisons. Brad has worked as a prison staff employee, but he has also worked as a jail inspector, an instructor and trainer.

Brad Hompe has long been considered a top-notch expert when it comes to prison operations. That expertise comes from his experience in all aspects of jail operations, including jail and prison planning and design, policy development, including use of force, the development and implementation of training and evaluation and incident management. In addition to leading the development and implementation of corrections programs, Brad has provided a wide range of services in prisons and jails throughout Wisconsin and nationally.

Throughout his tenure with WI-DOC, Brad Hompe has done almost everything. Prior to becoming a warden, he worked his way up from his humble beginnings as a corrections officer and rising to Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, unit manager and deputy warden.
